Vietnam +84 Numbers: Receive Codes or Keep a Local Line
NumberFlare offers Vietnam (+84) numbers both for one-off verification codes and as a line you keep. Instant OTP costs from $0.20 per code and is charged only when the code is delivered; a Vietnam Cloud Number for calls and SMS starts from $1.95/month and is set up on request, after our team checks availability, price and any address or ID requirement.
Reasons to use a Vietnamese number
Vietnam has a busy app economy, and plenty of sign-ups there expect a local mobile. A Vietnam virtual number is useful if you:
- build or localize an app for Vietnamese users and need to check the OTP step end to end;
- run a team or an online shop with customers in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City or Da Nang;
- travel often and want a second phone number for local apps, without swapping SIM cards.
Vietnamese services typically send their messages in Vietnamese, and global apps follow your language settings. Whatever the language, the digits you need stand out and are easy to copy.
Foreign companies hiring developers or support staff in Vietnam also run into this: a shared work account needs a phone number, and nobody wants to tie it to one employee's personal SIM.
Supported apps for Vietnam OTP
Instant OTP in Vietnam currently covers more than 2,800 services. That includes Zalo, the messaging app many Vietnamese people use daily, along with Shopee, Lazada, Facebook, TikTok, WhatsApp, Telegram, Google (Gmail & YouTube), Instagram, Microsoft & Outlook, Discord, LINE, Viber and Airbnb.
The list is live and can shift during the day. Check the dashboard for current options and the price for each service. Use numbers only within each platform's rules; NumberFlare is not affiliated with these brands, and their names are their owners' trademarks.
A quick note on matching: choose Vietnam when the account is meant for the Vietnamese market. Some apps tailor content, payment options or region settings to the country of the phone number, so a +84 number makes most sense for a Vietnam-facing profile.
Steps to receive SMS online in Vietnam
- Sign up using an email address, then type in the 6-digit code we mail you.
- Top up the wallet once; that first payment enables purchases.
- Go to Instant OTP, pick the service, then pick Vietnam.
- Copy the +84 number and enter it in the app's verification screen.
- Request the SMS. The code appears in your live inbox, usually inside a minute or two.
Each activation lasts 20 minutes. If the code does not come, you are refunded to your wallet without doing anything. Copy the number exactly as the dashboard shows it, and keep the app's country selector on Vietnam so the +84 prefix is not added twice.
If the Vietnamese code is late or missing
Let the activation run its full 20 minutes before calling it a failure. Hammering the resend button can make some apps pause sending for a while. Next, check whether the service is known to refuse virtual numbers; if so, no route will help. Otherwise, come back later and try another Vietnam number. Failed attempts cost nothing.
One more tip: if you are testing your own app, look at your SMS provider logs as well. A missing code can be a template or sender issue on your side rather than a delivery problem.
Can I get a Vietnam Cloud Number to keep?
Yes, on request. Same-minute activation applies to US, Canadian and Puerto Rican numbers only. For Vietnam, open the dashboard and use Request another country. Our team confirms whether a number is available, what it costs, and whether local regulation needs an address or identity check before activation. The time this takes depends on the country.
A Cloud Number brings browser calling in Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, an SMS inbox, call logs, contacts, forwarding to your mobile and voicemail. It starts from $1.95/month and stays yours as long as it renews. Compare plans on pricing.
Rule of thumb: a single sign-up or a test run calls for Instant OTP. A number you will publish, call from, or need for account recovery calls for a Cloud Number.

Outside the US and Canada, Cloud Numbers are mainly for voice and SMS depends on the number. We confirm this when we offer you a specific number.
No. Instant OTP codes appear in your browser dashboard, and a Cloud Number works for calls in the browser, so no SIM or phone hardware is involved.
