Mali +223 Numbers: Verify an Account or Keep a Line Open
NumberFlare lets you get a Mali (+223) number either for one verification code through Instant OTP, from $0.20 per code, or as a lasting line for calls and SMS through a Cloud Number, from $1.95/month. Instant OTP is charged only when the code arrives, and Mali Cloud Numbers are available on request after our team confirms availability, price and any ID or address checks.
Need a Malian number while living outside Mali?
Many Malians live and work far from Bamako, in France, elsewhere in Europe, or across West Africa. Family groups, money apps and community pages often still revolve around a +223 number, yet the old SIM may have expired years ago.
There are other common situations too:
- An NGO or contractor working in Mali wants a local contact number for partners, separate from staff phones.
- A startup plans to launch in Mali and must test sign-up flows with real +223 numbers.
- Someone in Mali wants a second phone number to keep their main line away from online sign-ups.
NumberFlare handles these needs with Instant OTP for a single code and a Cloud Number for a line that stays yours. Here is how each works.
How do I get a +223 number for an OTP?
Instant OTP takes only a few steps:
- Register with your email and confirm the account with the 6-digit code sent to you.
- Top up your wallet once; that first top-up enables purchases.
- Go to Instant OTP, choose Mali, and select the service that needs verifying.
- Look at the price, then confirm.
- Type the +223 number you receive into the service's phone field and ask for the code.
- Read the code from the live inbox, where it usually shows up within a minute or two.
Your number stays reserved for 20 minutes. A delivered code is charged; an undelivered one is refunded to your wallet automatically, with no support ticket needed.

Why hasn't my Mali verification SMS arrived?
There are a few usual reasons, and none of them cost you money, because a code that never comes is refunded once the 20 minutes are up.
Work through this list:
- Be patient for the full window. Messages to West African routes can take longer at certain times.
- Re-read the number in the form. Mali was selected, all eight digits are present, and no 0 was added.
- Check the service's stance on virtual numbers. Some platforms do not accept them at all. That is their policy, and it is why Instant OTP refunds instead of charging.
- Try again later with a fresh number. Another +223 number may get the message through.
If the service accepts numbers from other countries, nearby markets such as Senegal or Côte d'Ivoire are also listed in the dashboard.
Typing a Malian number correctly in sign-up forms
Mali uses a closed numbering plan: every number has eight digits after +223, with no area code and no leading 0. Mobile numbers commonly start with 6 or 7.
If the form offers a country list, select Mali (+223) and type the eight digits. If there is only one field, enter +223 and then the eight digits, without spaces if the form complains. Because the length never changes, a quick count of the digits catches most mistakes.
French is widely used in business and administration, and Bambara is the most widely spoken language. Codes from global apps normally arrive in French or English, depending on the app and your account language.
Do I need a Mali Cloud Number instead?
If the number must keep working after today, the answer is yes. A Cloud Number is the right tool for repeat logins, account recovery, a contact line for partners, or calls from clients in Mali.
Mali Cloud Numbers are available on request, not as an immediate purchase. In the dashboard, open My Numbers and select "Request another country". Our team confirms whether a number is available, what it will cost, and whether local regulations require an address or ID check before activation. The time this takes depends on the country.
After activation you get:
- Calls from Chrome, Edge, Firefox or Safari, with no SIM card involved
- An SMS inbox inside the dashboard
- Call logs and a contact list
- Forwarding to your own mobile, plus voicemail
A Mali line starts from $1.95/month and is renewed automatically from your wallet. The pricing page has the full picture.
Funding your account by card or crypto
NumberFlare uses a prepaid wallet in US dollars, which helps if you are paying from outside Mali. Top-ups work by card, or in USDT or USDC. For crypto, send the precise amount displayed, decimals and all, on the network you selected, and it is credited after network confirmation.
The first top-up unlocks buying. From then on, checkout draws from your balance, and each top-up or number purchase produces a PDF invoice sent to your email. Enable two-factor authentication for added protection.
