A Maldives +960 Number for One Code or for Everyday Calls
You can get a Maldives (+960) number from NumberFlare to receive a single verification code with Instant OTP, from $0.20 per code, or to use as an ongoing line for calls and SMS with a Cloud Number, from $1.95/month. Instant OTP is refunded automatically if no code arrives, and Maldives Cloud Numbers are arranged on request after our team confirms availability and local requirements.
Left the islands but still need a +960 number?
The Maldives has a large share of people who are only there for a season or a contract. Resort staff rotate in and out, dive instructors move between countries, and many guesthouse and travel businesses are run partly from abroad. Sooner or later, one of them meets a form that wants a Maldivian number, and the local SIM is no longer in their pocket.
The need is just as real for people who live there. You may not want to give your personal number to every booking platform, or you may be building a tourism app and need to check how it handles +960 numbers before launch.
NumberFlare solves this in one of two ways. Instant OTP hands you a +960 number for one code. A Cloud Number gives you a line you keep. The sections below help you decide.
Steps to receive a verification code on a Maldives number
With Instant OTP, the whole process happens in the browser:
- Open an account with your email and confirm it using the 6-digit code we email you.
- Make your first wallet top-up, which unlocks purchases.
- In Instant OTP, choose Maldives as the country and select the app or website you are verifying.
- Confirm the price shown on screen.
- Enter the +960 number you receive into that app's verification form.
- Keep the live inbox open. A typical Maldives code lands there within a minute or two.
You have 20 minutes to receive the code. If it arrives, you pay. If the time runs out first, the amount is put back in your wallet without any request from you.
Which services can I use a Maldivian number for?
More than 1,700 services can currently be verified with a Maldives number in Instant OTP. Popular ones include:
- Airbnb, useful for hosts and guests alike
- Viber
- Google (Gmail & YouTube)
- Facebook and Instagram
- Telegram and Signal
- TikTok and Snapchat
- Microsoft & Outlook
- ChatGPT (OpenAI)
- Amazon
The list follows what our carrier partners can deliver at the moment, so the dashboard is the place to confirm current options and prices, starting from $0.20 per code.

The code didn't come through. How do I fix it?
Start by letting the full 20 minutes pass. A late SMS still counts, and some services queue their messages.
If nothing arrives, the cost is refunded to your wallet automatically, so you can try again without losing money. Useful next moves:
- Double-check the digits. Maldivian numbers are short, so one missing or extra digit is easy to spot and easy to miss.
- Ask whether the platform allows virtual numbers. Some refuse them, and that decision belongs to the platform. It is the main reason refunds exist.
- Come back later for a new number. A different +960 number may succeed.
- Consider a neighboring market if the service lets you choose, such as Sri Lanka or India.
We cannot promise any particular service will deliver, but a code that never arrives is never billed.
What does a Maldives phone number look like?
Maldivian numbers are among the simplest to type. There are seven digits after +960, no area codes, and no leading 0. Mobile numbers usually begin with 7 or 9.
In a form with a country dropdown, pick Maldives (+960) and type the seven digits. In a single text field, write +960 and then the same seven digits. If a form insists on more digits, you have probably chosen the wrong country in the dropdown.
Dhivehi is the official language, and English is widely used in tourism, business and government services. Codes from international apps usually arrive in English or in your account's language.
Should I choose a Cloud Number or Instant OTP for the Maldives?
Ask yourself one question: will I need this number again?
- No, just one sign-up. Use Instant OTP. It is quick, pay-per-code, and refunded if the code fails.
- Yes, for logins, recovery or customer calls. Use a Cloud Number. A resort contractor, a tour operator or a remote team handling Maldivian guests usually falls here.
Maldives Cloud Numbers are available on request. From the dashboard, go to My Numbers and choose "Request another country". Our team confirms availability and price and lets you know if an address or identity check is needed before activation. Timing depends on the country.
An active Cloud Number gives you browser calling with no SIM, a dashboard SMS inbox, call logs, contacts, forwarding to your mobile and voicemail. Plans start from $1.95/month. See pricing for details.
