Should I type 08 or +62 8 in a sign-up form?
Indonesians usually write mobile numbers starting with 08, such as 0812 xxxx xxxx. Internationally, the 0 is dropped and the country code takes its place, so that number becomes +62 812 xxxx xxxx. Indonesian mobile numbers vary in length, so do not worry if two numbers you see have a different number of digits.
If the form has a country picker, select Indonesia (+62) and paste the digits starting with 8. If it has a single field, paste the full +62 number. A form that rejects your entry often has a stray 0 after the +62.
