Calling code +243Instant OTP from $0.20 per codeCloud Number: on request
Quick answer

Yes, you can get a Democratic Republic of the Congo (+243) number on NumberFlare: Instant OTP gives you a number for one verification code from $0.20 per code, and you pay only if the code arrives. A Cloud Number for ongoing calls and SMS starts from $1.95/month and is available on request, with our team confirming availability and any checks before activation.

Walkthrough: receive a +243 verification code

Instant OTP is fully self-serve. Follow these steps:

  1. Open an account. Sign up at /signup and enter the 6-digit code that arrives in your email.
  2. Fund the wallet. One top-up, by card or crypto, unlocks buying and shows the exact price for each service.
  3. Select country and service. Choose Congo (DRC), not the Republic of the Congo, then the app you are verifying.
  4. Paste the number. Copy the +243 number into the app's phone field.
  5. Send and wait. Ask the app to text you a code. It normally appears in the live inbox within a minute or two.
  6. Finish. Enter the code in the app.

The number is yours for 20 minutes. If the code does not show up in that time, the charge is reversed to your wallet with no action needed from you.

+243 or +242? Getting the number format right

Two neighboring countries share the name Congo, and mixing them up is the most common error we see:

  • Democratic Republic of the Congo (capital Kinshasa): dial code +243.
  • Republic of the Congo (capital Brazzaville): dial code +242. If that is the one you need, see our Republic of the Congo page.

Inside the DRC, mobile numbers are usually written with a leading 0, such as 08X or 09X. When you use the international format, drop that 0 and write +243 followed by the remaining nine digits. In a form with a country dropdown, select the DRC and enter just the nine digits.

French is the official language, and Lingala, Kiswahili, Kikongo and Tshiluba are widely spoken. Verification texts most often arrive in French or English; the numeric code is what you copy.

Reasons people look for a DR Congo phone number

  • Congolese people abroad, for example in Belgium or France, who want to verify an account with a +243 number without a working home SIM.
  • Companies and organizations operating in the DRC that register on messaging and business platforms under a local number.
  • Product teams testing how their own sign-up and SMS flows handle +243 numbers and French-language messages.
  • Anyone guarding their privacy who prefers a second phone number for new sign-ups instead of their personal one.

What if no code reaches the inbox?

You are never billed for a code that fails to arrive. Before trying again:

  1. Let the 20-minute window run out completely; some apps send with a delay.
  2. Check whether the service takes virtual numbers. Some reject them by design, which is exactly why Instant OTP refunds.
  3. Request another +243 number later instead of retrying the same one immediately.
  4. Confirm you chose the DRC and not the Republic of the Congo, both in NumberFlare and in the app.

If one service fails repeatedly, contact [email protected] with the details.

Can I request a DRC Cloud Number for my business?

You can. Cloud Numbers for the DRC are available on request, not as an instant purchase. In the dashboard, choose "Request another country" and explain how you plan to use the line. Our team confirms availability and price, and tells you if local rules require an address or ID check. Activation time depends on the country.

After activation you get:

  • Browser calling in Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari, with no SIM or app install
  • Incoming texts in your NumberFlare inbox, on numbers that carry SMS
  • Call logs and a contacts list
  • Call forwarding to your mobile and voicemail

Prices start from $1.95/month, and the number renews from your wallet on the same plan. Only the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico offer instant, self-serve numbers. See pricing for the full picture.

Choosing between Instant OTP and a Cloud Number

If you need one code and will not use that number again, Instant OTP is the lighter option. If the account may ask for a code at your next login, or you want people to call you on a Congolese number, request a Cloud Number so the number stays under your control.

You pay for either from a prepaid USD wallet. Top up with a card or with USDT/USDC; for crypto, transfer the exact amount displayed, including decimals, on the network you picked. The balance is credited after network confirmation, and two-factor login (TOTP) is available to protect the account.
